Trong quá trình xin Study Permit để du học tại Canada, một trong những thành phần hồ sơ quan trọng nhất chính là “Study Plan” hay Kế hoạch học tập hoặc Statement of Purpose (SOP). Lưu ý: Viết về lý do chọn ngành thì không ai giống ai. Mỗi người có lý do riêng và nó phải phù hợp với hoàn cảnh. Sinh viên không nên copy ý tưởng của người khác để viết về mình trong khi hoàn cảnh không giống nhau. Những lý do trên đây chỉ để tham khảo và nếu có trích dẫn cũng nên có chọn lọc.

HOW – Khả năng tài chính và sắp xếp ngân sách như thế nào?  

Phần này cũng không kém phần quan trọng giúp chứng minh về năng lực tài chính tài trợ cho việc học tập tại Canada. Dù sinh viên có chọn chương trình SDS (không chứng minh tài chính) thì vẫn phải đề cập vấn đề tài chính phục vụ cho trang trải việc học. Nếu hồ sơ thuộc diện chứng minh tài chính thì phần này rất quan trọng để giải thích cho những con số thể hiện trên chứng từ, tài liệu đính kèm nhằm thuyết phục viên chức lãnh sự về năng lực tài chính của bạn và gia đình đảm bảo cho việc học tại Canada.

WHERE – Bạn sẽ làm việc ở đâu sau khi tốt nghiệp? 

Mục đích của phần này là cam kết rời khỏi Canada sau khi hoàn thành khoá học. Phần này rất quan trọng giúp cho viên chức lãnh sự quyết định cấp study permit hay không. Nếu bạn không chứng minh được bạn sẽ quay về Việt Nam hoặc quốc gia thứ 3 sau khi hoàn thành khoá học thì hồ sơ của bạn sẽ bị từ chối. Do đó, sinh viên phải nêu được kế hoạch quay về Việt Nam làm việc một cách thuyết phục.

WHERE – Bạn sẽ làm việc ở đâu sau khi tốt nghiệp?

Lưu ý:

khi sử dụng các lý do trên cho Study Plan của mình, các bạn nhớ đổi lại ngôi cho phù hợp trong câu. Tuy nhiên, các lý do này là chung chung cho số đông. Lý do quay về quê hương thuyết phục sẽ mang nặng tính cá nhân.  Mỗi người có một hoàn cảnh khác nhau và các mối ràng buộc gia đình sẽ lôi kéo họ trở về. Ví dụ như trách nhiệm phụng dưỡng cha mẹ khi về già đối với gia đình ít người hay quay về quản lý doanh nghiệp của gia đình nếu cha mẹ có công ty. Điều này chứng minh mối liên kết mạnh mẽ với quê hương và là lý do chính đáng để rời Canada sau khi học xong.
